Rusty I am!

I am and yes, this iron gate too, but, clothes are collecting more rust from being held hostage by my ever expanding closet. I am guilty of stocking more dresses than what I can wear in my lifetime. If it were a crime, I would be hanged till death. So, times when I need a new dress to flaunt, instead of browsing through online shopping portals, I take pleasure out of diving deep in my closet. Finding a hidden gem is guaranteed.
I bought this dress in exchange of a very pretty skirt(yes, I had a few haunted nights later). Though, the dress doesn't fit me well, blame my stick thin body, but, that's not reason enough to hold me back from flaunting it. The best part of this midi is that it can be dressed up for exclusive occassions and dressed down for casual looks. The color of the dress acts as a perfect base to add hints of color through my accessories. I created two looks, the first one to entertain the diva in me and the second one to entertain the lazy-lad I truly am.
This shoot was a lil different than the others. It was the first time that I went out of  my comfort zone and stepped into an unknown territory(quite literally). It's not everyday that I pose next to a rusty iron gate of an electricity house, right next to a main road. Pardon me if its pretty evident that I look angry enough to eat someone alive, cause it might as well be true. People kept staring at me as if its their birthright and I stared back at them as if its mine, Indeed!!

PS: My heels are still intact, just in case you were wondering if they survived after these poses.

A petite thug!

One thing that works for me as much as it works against me, is my petite body. I love it when people go, ' oh you look younger than your age' because of my size, but, hate it when even an XS sits big on me. Yeah! Story of my life. Finding the right fit for me is pretty much a needle in a haystack, extremely easy. So honey, as long as XS and XXXL stay as similar as north pole and south pole, we are sailing in the same boat.
For this thug look, I am wearing a denim coat( which originally was a Medium sized, midi length denim dress with midi sleeves, but, looked as big as an overcoat on my tiny frame) paired with ripped denim( this pair of jeans used to be white, later it got dyed to a lighter peach and finally a darker shade, did the ripping myself, using a brow plucker and scissors) and a white racer back sequin top. This pair of Nude peep toes with ankle straps is the most brutally abused shoe in my closet. Don't blame me, I am as guilty as the shoe, I mean what can I do if it adds much needed inches to my short frame without making the look bulky. They elongate my legs, or at least that's what I think they do. My satchel bag is big enough to carry my everyday essentials, the leather wrist band and ear cuff were to add to the 'thug' feel of the look.

Just don't underestimate me cause of my size, ripped clothes or not, I am thug enough for you.

PS: That soft fur ball is my pet, Maggi. And, yes! She is a poser too.

Cut-Copy-Pastels!

The kind of mood swings weather has kept us entertained with, we hardly know what weather to dress up for anymore. I bid a goodbye to layers, only to return to them the next day.
Here I am, trying my best to strike a balance between the hot and cold.
Pastels become your best friends when you cant stand the darker colors and heavy layers. Though, Spring is just an illusion in India, at least in Delhi, either its too cold or too hot, never too springy. But, I love to bloom, even if it comes at a cost of looking like a decorated cupcake just out of a fancy bakery.
It's not a secret that how much I love putting shades of  pink, white, blue and yellow together, however, this look is a step ahead. I added a print too in the mix with my vintage print slip-on shoes. I wasn't aiming at being a Rainbow. No! I have nothing against a Rainbow, if anything , I think it is beautiful, but, that's the last thing one wants to look like. The idea is to maintain a harmony among st the colors and, its safe to say that I am pleased with the result. However, if its too many colors for your taste, you can look towards your left, I'll stand on your right ;p

An Overdose of pearls!

Well, what do I know about an overdose of pearls? That I dint die of one.
Pictures speak louder than words, so I am planning to just shut up(after a few words). This pullover has an overlay of pearls and I just wanted to bring that out with more pearls in my look. The back pack is my own creation, the silly experiments that I keep doing aren't that silly I reckon. The bracelet is a necklace, like you couldn't tell and nude sandals are merging with my feet giving an illusion of a taller me, I am not the only one guilty of it, am I?
